Huge response to GTU’s online lectures

• Kenyan, American and South African students take GTU’s e-class
• GTU defers all exams indefinitely

Ahmedabad, March 30, 2020: Ahmedabad based GTU (Gujarat Technological University) received a huge response from participants in India as well as abroad for its online lecture series.

GNN learns GTU started hosting online lectures for all its affiliated colleges after the nationwide lockdown was announced on March 24, 2020 to check the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.

Experts from the GTU Graduate School of Engineering, Pharmacy and Management conducted online lectures using various social media platforms.

Students from at least 10 Indian states and from countries including Kenya, South Africa and US participated in the lectures.
A total of 750 students participated. Till date GTU has conducted 70 lectures.

GTU pharmacy department professor Dr Sanjay Chauhan spoke about drug control and regulation which received a very good response.

Also a precautionary measure in the ongoing fight against Covid-10, the GTU deferred all summer exams, indefinitely. The varsity announced exam schedule on March 7 but now has postponed all theory and practical summer 2020 examinations for all the courses.
