Activist challenges appointments on fixed wages

Ahmedabad, August 23, 2018. Gujarat High Court on Tuesday (August 21) issued a notice to the Gujarat State Wakf Board following a PIL (Public Interest Litigation) filed by an activist Umardaraz Chashmawala with further hearings scheduled for August 29.
Chashmawala in his PIL has challenged appointments being done by the board on fixed wages and has demanded the Board should follow the laid down processes and practices and recruit employees through proper procedure.
